Zonta Club of Dalby welcomes new president
THE Zonta Club of Dalby ushered in a new era at its annual general meeting at the Leagues Club on Tuesday night.
Former president Linda Marsh's two-year term came to an end, and Denise Jeitz stepped into the role at the meeting.
Jenny Wirth was given the position of secretary, while Jane Goddard moved into the treasurer role.
Ms Marsh reflected on her time as president, and said she looked forward to staying involved with the group.
"I'm amazed at how much work Dalby Zonta does locally, nationally and internationally for such a small club,” she said.
"I've had a great two years in the role. My highlights would obviously be our International Women's Day and simply combining with other community members to take part and host events.
"I'm sure that Denise will steer the ship in the right path over the next two years.
"We will continue to be a very contented and busy club.”
Zonta will host a movie night on Monday at the Dalby Civic Theatre and money raised from the event will go towards birthing kits for women in developing nations.
The event will start at 6pm, and the $15 tickets include wine, nibbles and a lucky door prize entry.
Tickets can be bought at Schrecks Shoe Store or at the door of Dalby Civic Theatre on Monday evening.
