Power outage triggers TV reception problems
UPDATE: A power outage triggered television reception problems in Hervey Bay on Monday morning but a generator has put the stations back on air.
A Channel Seven spokesman said power was lost at 5.30am and initially the generator didn't take the load but the generator problem was fixed about 7.45am.
He said Ergon Energy was working on the power problem and there would probably be a bump when the system switched back to mains power.
The digital TV broadcast site on Ghost Hill in Regency Ave at Urraween was among customers affected by the blackout on Monday morning.
An Ergon Energy spokesman said 18 customers in the Pialba-Urraween area lost power at 6.53am, likely because of a transformer issue.
He said power was restored at 9.10am.
EARLIER: If you're having trouble with your television reception on Monday morning, try retuning your TV.
Plenty of people in Hervey Bay have taken to Facebook to complain about signal trouble.
Basic retuning
- Press the menu button on the remote control for your digital TV, set-top-box or digital TV recorder.
- Look for "set-up" options.
- Try to select words such as "channels" or "auto-tuning". A scanning bar may appear when retuning. When the scan has finished you should receive all the digital TV channels.
- After retuning, check your settings and reapply your favourites or parental lock if required.
