The Joyce affair is none of our business

WHAT kind of petty minded people are we turning into?

We make major issues out of tiny matters and revel in political correctness.

For example, take the Barnaby Joyce affair which is a private matter and none of our business.

If it weren't for the fact that his girlfriend got pregnant it wouldn't have seen the light of day and certainly not been blown up by the media.

These type of affairs happen all the time in all walks of life so it is nothing new.

Where it gets messy is when everyone sticks their noses into the private lives of people, in spite of the fact it has nothing to do with them.

Many of those that point the finger in parliament should look back into their own lives and hope no one finds an indiscretion in their past that would embarrass them if the press got hold of it.

They may well say "There but by the grace of God go I", but we as a nation must stop acting like tell-tale school kids and grow up.
