Sally delivers full spectrum in live Voice opener
SALLY Skelton has risen to her latest challenge on The Voice.
The Maroochydore teen performed in her first live episode on the reality singing show, achieiving a long-held goal after she was eliminated in the battle round last year.
As if a live performance on national television wasn't enough, Ms Skelton was the opening act of the night.
"It's uncharted territory for me," she told The Daily after winning her battle round.
"I'm now setting goals for Top 6 and Top 4. Really now it's about writing down what I want to do next and to keep working toward those goals."
The 19-year-old took on Florence + The Machine's Spectrum., a vocally-challenging song that had fans divided.
Some praised her performance:
Go sally!!!

Oh that was the wrong choice for Sally's voice. It should have been arranged very differently for her voice. She did well, though.
Sally does have a very good voice and is talented but some songs are just plain tough to cover, clearly that proved to be the case. Florence is an absolute powerhouse performer with an unmistakably pure voice so while it's great to take risks that almost seemed unfair #thevoiceau

Musical choices aside, it was enough for Ms Skelton to attract the viewer votes needed to secure a spot in next week's show.
Team George's Luke Antony and Team Kelly's Brock Ashby received the least amount of votes and after a sing-off Luke was eliminated via 'instant vote' on The Voice app.
