Modern motor inn rated best in Darling Downs

A MOTOR inn in Goondiwindi has been awarded the top-rated accommodation in the Darling Downs by Trivago.

The travel website named Goondiwindi's Best Western Ascot Lodge Motor Inn as the top-rated accommodation in the region in the Trivago Awards 2017.

Guests gave it an average rating of 89.95, while Warwick's City View Motel placed second and Toowoomba's City Golf Club third.

Best Western Ascot Lodge Motor Inn general manager Joel Wright said it was wonderful to be awarded the title.

Each year Trivago analyses aggregated ratings and reviews of hotels across Australia to find which hotels have the best ratings from travellers and which destinations have the highest rated hotels.

The awards are based on 175 million ratings from more than 250 booking sites worldwide.

Only hotels or accommodation featured on Trivago with more than 300 reviews are included in the awards.
