Ready to Wiggle for 20th birthday

CHILDREN across Bundaberg are getting ready to wiggle and wake up Jeff when the popular group performs at the Moncrieff Theatre later this week.

The four famous skivvy-wearers will be performing at the Moncrieff Theatre twice on Wednesday and once on Thursday as a part of their 20th birthday celebrations.

"I thought it would last for the time it took to produce the album," purple Wiggle Jeff told the NewsMail.

"I did not think (the band) would get anywhere near the kind of reaction it did."

With 20 years entertaining children, Jeff said the group was starting to get repeat visitors.

"We are having the children who use to go to our shows when we first started come with their own children and passing it on," he said.

Jeff said recently the band had started noticing teenagers in the audience trying to relive their childhood.

For new Wiggle fans and veterans alike, the show will feature all the old favourites including Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword and Wags the Dog.

"We may even have the Big Red Car if the stage is able to handle it," he said.

Jeff said the show would feature all the old favourite songs.

Tickets are available from the venue.
