Friends leave party as analog TVs fail

OLD fashioned Newtown resident has been shamed into looking for a new - updated - television.

He hosted a Good Friday barbecue (fish only, of course) and had a number of mates around for the evening.

All was going well until it came time to flick on the TV to watch Friday night footy featuring the Broncos.

Although he had three televisions in the house, all of them were of the analog variety and, although each had an attached set-top box, none of them could pick up Channel 9 for the footy.

The crowd quickly dispersed as revellers headed home to watch the match.

What had been a fair sized throng was quickly whittled down to just our man and two mates - both of whom stayed the night.

Obviously, not footy lovers.
