‘Elvis’ to return for Biggenden concert
IT’S been a few years since they performed together but the Biggenden Music Group will be back in action on Saturday, March 14, with a charity concert for the fire recovery.
Organiser Chris Roberts said the night was being sponsored by the Biggenden Masonic Lodge in the Memorial Hall.
“With the recent fire situation, we thought it was a good idea if we could help in some way,” he said.
“There will be a couple of surprise appearances, including John Stradmann with a number of his popular Elvis renditions.”
Mr Roberts said there would be more than two hours of entertainment.
“The Dallarnil State School students along with dancers from Childers will be making an appearance,” he said.
“Kelly Madden is coming down from Gayndah, along with locals Ronnie Thompson and Bob Dingle.”
Anyone interested in being part of the entertainment, which starts at 7pm, is encouraged to phone Mr Roberts on 4127 1655.
Admission is $10 for adults and $2 for children. There will be raffles and a lucky door prize.
Proceeds will be donated through the Grand Lodge fire appeal, which doesn’t attract any administration fees.
