Crews rush to fire near Coast railway line

FIREFIGHTERS are battling a blaze next to the railway line in Glass House Mountains, potentially causing disruptions for afternoon commuters.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said fireys were called about 2pm to reports of a grass fire at Evans Rd, between the road and the railway line.

He said there was about two hectares of grass was alight and three crews were conducting back burning operations to contain the blaze.
