What makes Toowoomba unique? Readers share funny thoughts

TOOWOOMBA is a bright and vibrant city with many unique characteristics. 

The Chronicle asked its Facebook followers what made the Garden City stand out, and the question got our readers talking.

Jay Ebert, Darryl Ostrofski, Wes Whitbread and Will Wood all agreed the local drivers in Toowoomba were unique.

Mr Wood said you know you were in Toowoomba when you were stuck behind people who drove 20km/h below the speed limit everywhere you went.

Mr Ostrofski said he believed our drivers did not know how to use indicators roundabouts.

Another unique aspect of Garden City is the weather.

Liam Latham and Tenzin Norbu agreed the city's climate had some traits special to the region.

Mr Rossow said he knew he was in Toowoomba when he was flat out seeing the end of his nose in thick fog. 

Mr Norbu said the empty supermarket shelves of groceries, milk and bread when it rained for a couple of days was a unique Toowoomba trait.

The famous Toowoomba fast food outlet Super Rooster has also made an impact on the city.

Brett Nosse and Robyn Donaldson said Super Rooster's chips were another thing that made the Garden City special.
