Bookies say Trump odds improving
THE likelihood of Donald Trump becoming the next US president has increased, according to bookmakers.
In the first change to US election betting in a week, the business magnate's odds were shortened from 4-1 to 7-2, meaning he went from having a 20% chance of winning the White House to a 22% chance, betting company William Hill said.
"Despite being written off by much of the media and by many pollsters, there is still considerable betting support for Donald Trump,” William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe said.
The odds of Hillary Clinton winning, have lengthened from 1-9 to 1-5, meaning her chance at winning the presidency has shrunk from 90% to 82%, the betting company says.
